FEATHER EDGE BOARDS
Boards are 125mm x 22mm. There are 8 different heights of
feather edge boards available. 10 boards are needed per
linear metre of fencing.
BEVELLED RAIL
These come at 75mm x 50mm , the horizontal rail for Close
Board fencing. Can either be nailed to a timber post or
bolted to a concrete post (Multi Hole or Recessed post).
TIMBER GRAVEL BOARDS
These are 22mm thick and are pressure treated. With close
board fencing, it stops the end grain of the featheredge
from coming into contact with the ground.
TIMBER POSTS
For closeboard fencing we recommend using 100mm x 100mm
softwood posts however, we also stock a range of concrete
posts.
TRENCHED CAPPING
The capping sits on top of the completed closeboard fence
and you nail downwards into the Featheredge. This finishes
the fence off whilst adding an important layer of
protection.
CONCRETE SLOTTED POSTS
The slotted posts are 125mm x 100mm, and each post has four
internal steel reinforcing bars. All of our fencing panels
will fit into the slotted posts.
CONCRETE CORNER SLOTTED POSTS
Ideal for a corner in a run of fencing. This post is a
larger box section than the normal slotted, finishing at
125mm square.
3 WAY SLOTTED POSTS
This post is a

As
its name suggests this post has a 10mm hole every 150mm.

RUBBISH CLEARANCE
We can clear your site of any
amount of mixed waste; No amount is too small or too big. This

Delivery Policy
After you have placed your order, you will be contacted to
arrange a mutually convenient delivery day. We cannot
specify a time for delivery however if you call 07765 505568
on the day of delivery, we will be able to provide an
approximate time. Any potential problems regarding access
should be notified to us prior to delivery on 07765 505568.
Delivery times will vary according to what materials have
been ordered. General fencing and trellis is normally
delivered within 10 working days, joinery products like
gates are normally delivered within 15 working days and log
Cabins are normally delivered within 6 weeks. Delivery
charges are to the front of house only and customers should
make their own arrangements to move materials to the rear of
the property. Materials requiring crane unloading will be to
the road side only. We will not be held liable for damage to
property if the customer invites us onto their property for
the purpose of delivery.
Cancellations and returns policy
Orders placed by telephone, or on-line customers have the
right to cancel their order upto 7 days prior to delivery.
Notice must be provided within the 7 days by durable form
and this can be done either by email to stuart@stuarts.eu or
in writing to Stuarts Fencing & Landscaping, 34 Evelyn Road,
Moordown, Bournemouth, BH9 1SU. Following delivery, assuming
that the goods were as described, and not faulty no refunds
are offered.
Care of your wooden fencing
products
Wood has many
outstanding properties, but it is a natural, porous material
with individual characteristics, and it can warp. When wood gets
wet, it swells. When wood dries out after being sawn from the
tree, after being pressure-treated and after rain showers, it
shrinks. Uneven drying creates stresses in wood, which results
in warping (e.g., bowing, cupping or twisting) or cracking. The
degree of warping depends on the species of wood, its grain
pattern, uniformity of drying and construction techniques, among
other factors.
Although it is
possible to position bowed deck lumber so that its weight
flattens it, or to use screws to fasten securely an otherwise
warped piece, there is not much a user can do to truly un-warp a
warped piece of wood. It is best to take steps early to minimize
the likelihood of warping. For example, watering the wood so you
don't have sunshine drying the top of the wood
In building a
project, you can avoid long, unsupported spans, and you can make
sure to use enough fasteners to hold wood firmly in place.
Screws or ring shank nails. Some warping is always a
possibility, but this should not discourage the use of a
convenient, economical, attractive, long-lasting and renewable
building material like pressure-treated wood.
